As a church we always aim to serve and stay committed to our local community, which we have been doing since the church was founded in 1941. We believe in providing help to those at the margins of society and becoming an integral part of our local community. We work directly with and also with a range of partner organisations (particularly The Well) to fulfill our vision. To develop our community work we have a range of new projects such as Prison Ministry, the Love my City initiative, and of course our work to support the elderly. Please consider whether you are able to get involved so please drop by or contact us.
We are currently working to set up a chaplaincy in our local bus garage in Pensnett. This will give us pastoral care for over a thousand people, who may not ordinarily be able to engage with traditional church, due to working times etc.
We have a weekly chaplaincy at our local high school, Crestwood School. This is making ourselves available to offer support and help during one or two lunchtimes per week.
