Behold I am coming quickly
As we read through this last chapter of Revelation and indeed the last chapter in the Bible, we see some of Jesus’ last reassuring words to every believer, “Behold, I am coming quickly!”
There is no greater encouragement and no better promise that we can have from our Lord Jesus Christ as believers knowing that He will return one day to take us to be with Himself.
On this final day of the fast I would like to encourage you with those words of Jesus. He not only says that He is coming back quickly but in verse 12 He says He is coming back with a reward to give to each person according to what they have done.
Revelation 22:12-13:
“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. “
Our theme this year of Kingdom Movement reminds us that His kingdom is never a static Kingdom and there is always movement. Jesus says He is the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. He is where it all starts, and He will be where it all ends and everything in-between. We need to keep Him up and centre in everything we do so that we don’t lose focus and also so that we can build right.
You never have to be in doubt of God’s love for you. He wants you to know he loves you so much and has not left you as an orphan. He is coming back for you and He is coming back with His rewards for us.
We live ready for His return, waiting expectantly and in anticipation of His return.
